2027 Sarnia Heat Travel Head Coach Opportunity

The Sarnia Heat Organization is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic coaches to lead our U13 and U15 Travel Teams for the 2027 season.

Our Head Coaches are responsible for creating a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment for our players. Coaches will be expected to:

Plan and run organized, purposeful practices.
Develop players’ skills, confidence, teamwork, and understanding of the game.
Prepare the team for league games
Research and enter at least one tournament.
Communicate effectively with players and parents.
Work closely with the Sarnia Heat Organization and the Lambton Central Girls Softball League.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, and a positive team culture.
Manage team responsibilities, schedules, equipment, and other day-to-day needs.
Serve as a positive role model and represent the Sarnia Heat organization professionally.
Build your own qualified coaching staff

We are looking for coaches who are organized, reliable, positive, strong communicators, and passionate about girls fastball. Previous coaching experience is an asset, but a strong commitment to player development and the game is equally important.

Coaches must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) before they can step on the diamond. The SMAA will cover the cost of the VSC.. The VSC is specific to the SMAA and other VSC's with other organizations are not accepted. VSC are good for 5 seasons with the SMAA
