Since the Sarnia Minor Athletic Association (S.M.A.A.) was founded in 1947, one principle has always guided us: every youth athlete in Sarnia-Lambton deserves the chance to play—regardless of financial status. 79 years later, that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do today.
We’re here to help families make sure every player can take the field or course this season—no matter their circumstances. Whether it’s S.M.A.A. Football, Sarnia Hawks Baseball, Sarnia Heat Girls Fastball, Challenger Ball, or Lambton Jr. Golf, we’ll help make participation possible.
Need financial assistance? We can also help you apply to Jumpstart or YRASP, and if you’ve missed the registration deadline, we’ll make arrangements so your player doesn’t miss out. All requests are handled with care and kept strictly confidential.

SMAA UMPIRE CLINIC
We’re looking for youth and adult umpires to join the SMAA team for the 2026 season! No experience? No problem — our veteran umpires will teach you everything you need to know about the game.
