If you are passionate about baseball and/or fastball and would like to make some money (and good money per game) this summer? Consider becoming an UMPIRE.

The SMAA is looking for Adults and Youth (12 yrs+) that would like to become umpires.

We will be holding a two-day Clinic Saturday, April 22, and Sunday, April 23 at Germain Park. The clinic will run from 10 am – 4 pm on both days.

The Clinic will include both outdoor and indoor training and instructions from qualified and experienced leaders that include: Rules and Definitions, Plate and Base Umpire Mechanics for Baseball and Fastball, One and Two umpire systems, the Role of the Umpire, Use of the Rulebook, Umpire Signals, and more.

Lunch will be provided on both days.

Once completed and you are an official umpire, we will schedule games around your busy schedule so you can still enjoy your summer, play sports or work another job.

If you are interested or you have any questions, please contact Umpire Chief Kim Craig at 519-331-7741 or smaaumpire@gmail.com

NOTE: The Rain Date is the following weekend (April 29 & 30)
